We have four forward lookup zones at the time of writing, these forward lookup zones are where the DNS server will look to reach different devices in the school networks. Two of them are for our network, the CISCOACA.local domain, and two of them are for musd.local/musd20.org. This has all of the devices we may want to reach. Our DNS Setup
DNS is what allows us to translate website names to IP addresses. We run our DNS on Loki and Logan, with Logan being the hot standby. If you want to know more about our overall domain setup, visit CISCOACA.local.
We have to have our DNS reference the DNS servers of the district as well to ensure everything forwards properly.
Forward Lookup Zones
We have four forward lookup zones at the time of writing, these forward lookup zones are where the DNS server will look to reach different devices in the school networks. Two of them are for our network, the CISCOACA.local domain, and two of them are for musd.local/musd20.org. This has all of the devices we may want to reach.
